The balance beam can stand on its own in the playground or form part of a larger obstacle course comprising several pieces of balance equipment. It is designed with two springs, and two points where the beam can bend. This makes balancing extra challenging, as it yields in response to the children’s weight and is always moving.

The unstable surface is perfect for training children’s balance, concentration and coordination. Children often rush around a lot, but when having to balance, they are forced to slow down and focus on their body and how they move to make sure they don’t fall off. The slower pace gives them time to focus and be more aware of their own bodies – how they react and how to control them. The balance beam is safety-optimised with springs that cannot catch small fingers, and it is also made of low-maintenance, recyclable materials.
